We had a busy week last week reading, Chicka Chicka Boom Boom and making our own trees to go along with the story. The trees are hanging up in the hallway above our lockers. We also explored with lots of alphabet letters, hunted for letters hidden on "coconuts" around our room, practiced counting with dice, practiced cutting and gluing, went fishing for letters, and sorted out letters and numbers. Mrs. Schultz came to visit our classroom on Tuesday and read a book to us about making mistakes.
This week we are reading several books about apples and learning about apples and fall. We started using our pawsitive pride paw slips this week. If your child brings one home, please ask them why they got it. On Monday we had two members of the Homecoming royalty read books to us.
Friday is our school walk-a-thon and an early dismissal (12:05). We will be spending a big part of the morning doing activities and walking outside. Please make sure your child s dressed warm enough. The predicted high on Friday is 52.
It is quite chilly in our classroom and outside. Please make sure your child is dressed for the weather and maybe has a sweatshirt to wear in the classroom.
